GABLES RESIDENTIAL TRUST Dallas, TX · 2002-2004 Regional Vice President - Directed seven-person Dallas Investments Group developing, acquiring, and constructing multi-family communities.
- Sourced development sites/project acquisitions and managed day-to-day operations including financial underwriting, market research, project design/development, entitlements, construction, and asset management.
- Incorporated creative deal structures including landowner/mixed-use joint ventures, operating partnership unit transactions, and ground leases.
- Obtained federal historic tax credits, tax abatements, and TIF financing.
- Rebuilt development team and implemented new management and control systems.
- Lead all regional offices in new development/investment activity; one acquisition and five new developments worth over $200 million. Developments comprise a 450 unit mid-rise, 224 unit adaptive reuse of historic high-rise office building, and two mixed-use joint ventures with 175 units and over 50,000 sf of retail.
