EXPERIENCE
CREDIT SUISSE New York, NY · 2001-2008 Vice President - Responsible for sourcing, underwriting, executing, and managing the investment allocations of three $1.5 billion real estate investment funds; funds have leveraged $4 billion of equity into more than $13 billion of assets via single-asset, portfolio, and pubic security-related transactions, involving multi-family, commercial, lodging, and distressed debt investments
- Directly executed more than $1.8 billion of transaction value; realized or substantially realized transactions have generated returns on equity in excess of 150%
- Selective transaction experience includes: led $107 million acquisition of commercial office portfolio; co-managed $150 million acquisition and repositioning of distressed Caribbean hotel and adjacent developable land; co-managed acquisition of a 54 million first-loss position of a distressed loan secured by a portfolio of German office buildings; co-managed $174 million luxury condominium development; assisted with $70 million acquisition and bankruptcy reorganization of distressed debt secured by five-star hotel; led underwriting of $145 million sub-performing senior loan portfolio; initiated underwriting of multiple public and private real estate companies; executed numerous follow-on acquisitions that helped to expand a portfolio company into one of the largest third-party logistics operations in the United States, with over $150 million of annual revenue
