Invitation: Spring Members' Meeting
February 10, 2012
Dear Friend of the Zell/Lurie Real
Estate Center:
I am delighted to invite you to the Spring Members' Meeting of the Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center at The Rittenhouse, 210 West Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 24-25, 2012. This is our signature event, and this year's program promises to be as interesting as the times in which we find ourselves. We have an outstanding line-up of panels dealing with vital issues in this uncertain environment, and great speakers to address broader economic and political matters.
Our main day opens with our panel of Wharton economists discussing where we are in the cycle and what we should be looking for in terms of recovery, both domestically and internationally. Our second session will focus on the consumer and what we should expect from that key player going forward. For that session, we have a great line-up of retail experts. Our afternoon panels begin with a discussion of what is happening in the debt and equity capital markets, and how that is affecting the property markets. We have some of the world's leading lenders and investors confirmed for this session. Our final panel welcomes back our good friend Sam Zell to discuss the property markets, the overall investment climate, and the political scene. Virtually all our panelists are now confirmed; check our website for any new details.
