FIRST DARTMOUTH ADVISORS LLC White Plains, NY · 2009 Vice President - Provided workout and distressed debt consulting services to owners and operators of commercial real estate. Negotiated loan modifications or discounted note purchases for 9 transactions totaling $72 million.
- Developed proprietary distressed asset financial models and restructuring proposals. Sourced new business nationwide.
- Performed cash flow analyses and valuation models, analyzed real estate assets and securitized bond issues, negotiated with banks and special servicers, and managed the workout process on behalf of borrowers and distressed debt investors.
LEHMAN BROTHERS New York, NY · 2005 - 2008 Associate - Originated over $575 million of senior and mezzanine commercial real estate loans as the groups youngest producer from mid-2006 through 2007. Completed deals in 34 states and the District of Columbia on property types including retail, office, multifamily, mixed-use, industrial, hospitality, and self-storage. 2007 production exceeded $420 million.
- Key transactions included The Watergate in Washington DC, a $132 million deal named Finance Transaction of the Year in 2007 by GWCAR, and large deals for elite sponsors such as JEMB Realty, McCann Realty Partners, Silver Companies, JDH Capital, and Berkshire Property Advisors.
- Developed and supervised underwriting including Excel cash flow and pro-forma models, Argus models, and cash flow stress tests. Led committee presentations. Analyzed underlying assumptions of all transactions.
- Negotiated loan documents and all transaction terms including loan amounts, pricing, deal structures, and borrower/ lender rights.
- Managed a team of two vice presidents and two analysts. Maintained a demanding travel schedule to meet weekly with clients across the US to discuss deal strategy and execution.
LEHMAN BROTHERS New York, NY · 2002 - 2005 Analyst / Summer Analyst - Underwrote over $1 billion of senior and mezzanine commercial real estate loans and loan portfolios. Performed cash flow modeling, full due diligence underwriting, property and market inspections, and coordination of third party, legal and closing processes. Participated in the loan sale and rating agency processes.
- Completed Lehman Brothers Capital Markets START Analyst Program as a member of the Fixed Income Division. Gained broad exposure to banking and trading products.
THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK Richmond, VA · Summer 2001 Research Assistant - Developed a proprietary database of over 60 current and historical US economic variables that became part of the Banks existing website. This database is now updated annually and is a main public website component.
