Spring 2012
Note from the Editors
Peter Linneman retired from the University last year, and Witold Rybczynski is retiring in July 2012. As a consequence, this issue of the Wharton Real Estate Review will be our final issue as founding co-editors.
This is the beginning of our sixteenth year of publication, and we are very pleased with the evolution of the Review, in terms of readership, the range of authors, and the breadth of material. We believe we have achieved our goal of establishing an intellectual forum for the free discussion and exchange of ideas and opinions, both scholarly and practical. Our aim has been to present a range of real estate issues with rigor and precision, and we believe we have succeeded.
The last few years have seen an important shift to a digital presence, which will allow us to greatly increase our audience. (Each digital issue is available exclusively to subscribers and members of the Zell-Lurie Center for a period of six months, after which it will be freely available online.)
We wish our friend and colleague, Joe Gyourko, the Director of the Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center, and the future editors the best of luck. It is time for a new generation to assume responsibility for the Review, taking the journal in new directions, raising new issues, and finding new challenges.
