Brian Kingston
President and Chief Investment Officer, Brookfield Property Group
Brian Kingston is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Brookfield Property Group, where he sets strategic direction and advances business growth initiatives for the company's flagship public real estate company, Brookfield Property Partners, and the company's various private real estate funds. Mr. Kingston assumed his current role in January 2013 following five years overseeing Brookfield's real estate and infrastructure operations in Australia. In 2008, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Brookfield's newly acquired real estate business in Australia, Brookfield Multiplex, and from 2010 to 2012 he was CEO of this business. While in Australia, Mr. Kingston was instrumental in the acquisition of Brookfield's infrastructure business and served as Chief Executive Officer of Prime Infrastructure Holdings Ltd. From 2001 to 2007, he held various senior management positions within the company and its affiliates, including mergers and acquisitions, merchant banking and real estate advisory services. He has been involved in a wide range of corporate development activities and acquisitions of public real estate companies, including Canary Wharf Group, O&Y REIT and O&Y Corp, Trizec Properties and Multiplex Group. Mr. Kingston serves on the board of directors of Brookfield Office Properties, General Growth Properties and Rouse Properties. Prior to joining Brookfield in 2001, he worked for Ernst & Young in Advisory Services. He holds a bachelor of commerce degree from Queen's University.
