Founding Partner and Chief Investment Officer
Samuel Wai Chu is the Founding Partner and Chief Investment Officer, Phoenix Property Investors. Mr. Chu has more than 30 years of real estate investment and corporate advisory experience in Asia, Europe and the U.S. Prior to the founding of Phoenix in 2002, Mr. Chu worked in major international banks and financial institutions with postings in Hong Kong, New York, Frankfurt and Tokyo. He also had substantial investment and advisory experience, focusing on real estate, and public and private equites for a range of clients.
Mr. Chu has been investing in real estate since 1989 with a track record of approximately US $9 billion of invested assets around the world.
Mr. Chu holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Art in Finance and International Management from Georgetown University. He also serves as a member of the Board of Overseers of Squash Education Alliance.
