Marja Hoek-Smit Spreads Awareness on Housing Finance at Home and Abroad
Marja Hoek-Smit, Director of the International Housing Finance Program, jointly with the University of Cape Town Business School, coordinated the fifth annual Executive Education Course on Housing Finance for Sub-Sharan Africa in Cape Town, South Africa, from October2nd -8th, 2016. In addition to this course, Hoek-Smit also conducted a short course on housing finance and subsidy design for the Urban Sector Knowledge Forum of the World Bank Group on December 5, 2016 in Washington, DC. For her continued efforts in Housing Finance, Marja Hoek-Smit was appointed to the Advisory Board of the Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter and Finance, Habitat for Humanity, chaired by Ron Terwilliger.
