Ritson Ferguson is an experienced Alternative Asset Investment Manager, retired CEO of $140B+ real asset manager, Global CIO / Investor in listed and private markets, Entrepreneur / Founder, Strategic M&A Deal Maker, and Experienced Board Member (public and private).
He is currently a Senior Fellow at the Wharton Real Estate Center and an Independent Investment Committee Member for CBREIM Listed Real Assets. He is also Vice Chairman of the Duke University Management Company (DUMAC) overseeing $25B of endowment assets. He is Lead Trustee for the CBRE Global Real Estate Income Fund (NYSE:IGR) and a Trustee of the Templeton World Charity Foundation (TWCF), a charitable organization established by Sir John Templeton.
From 1991 to 2022, Mr. Ferguson worked at CBRE Investment Management (CBREIM) and its predecessors. Mr. Ferguson served as Global CEO and CIO for CBRE Global Investors from 2015 to 2020 and as Vice Chairman until his retirement in 2022. During his tenure as Global CEO of the firm, Mr. Ferguson accomplished several key initiatives, including the acquisition of Caledon Capital Management, a leading infrastructure investment management business.
Prior to joining CBRE in 2010, Mr. Ferguson was on the global management committee of ING Real Estate Investment Management. He was a founder of the predecessor entity to CBREIM Listed Real Assets in 1991. Earlier in his real estate career, Mr. Ferguson worked at K.S. Sweet Associates and Trammell Crow Company. He was also a consultant at Bain & Company and a Captain in the U.S. Air Force.
