The five student real estate Clubs held many treks and club events. Below is just a sample of all the Clubs’ activities.

The Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center funds the five University of Pennsylvania Real Estate Clubs, and the Center works closely with Club leadership.

Highlights from the MBA Real Estate Club

The Club was hosted by EQT Exeter for a Philadelphia Multifamily trek on September 29, 2023. 

On November 10, 2023, the Wharton Real Estate Club held a Development Trek in New York. The Club was hosted by Hines, Related and Tishman Speyer. 

On Friday December 1, 2023, the Club held a Private Equity trek in New York. The Club met with Bridge Investment Group, Brookfield Asset Management, and Oxford Properties.

On Friday November 10, 2023, the Club held a Prop Tech trek in San Francisco. The Club met with JLL Spark, Congruent, HomeLight, Climate AI, Andrew Peng, proptech VC, investor at Alpaca Gregg Wallace, former partner at Building Ventures and Gareth Keane, partner at Promus Ventures.

From April 29 to May 3, 2024, the Club held a Private Equity trek in Singapore and Hong Kong. The Club met with Blackstone, Nan Fung Group, Gaw Capital, Manulife Investment Management, Link REIT, Warburg Pincus, EQT Exeter, Keppel DC REIT, GIC, and HDB

The MBA club worked diligently to increase representation in real estate through their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiative. The club hosted the head of Tishman Speyer’s DEI, Joe Ritchie, for a Lunch and Learn on Monday, February 12, 2024.

Highlights from the Undergraduate Real Estate Club

The Wharton Undergraduate Real Estate Club organized several treks over 2023. The Club’s Boston trek was held in October of 2023, when Club members visited Related Companies, Tishman Speyer, and Bain Capital. The Club also organized a Miami trek in November 2023 to visit CP Group, Dezer Development, and Dacra.

On Friday, December 1, 2023, the Club held a New York trek and was hosted by Goldman, The Real Deal, a renowned real estate news outlet, and the Baccarat Hotel.

From March 1 to March 4, 2024, the Club traveled to Dubai for a trek. The Club met with The Edition Dubai, HSBC, Kerzner International, and Nakeel Properties.

Highlights from the Penn Carey Law School Real Estate Club

On Thursday, March 21, 2024, the Club hosted Rory Mouat, Managing Director on the Real Estate Legal team at Blackstone, for a fireside chat that Club Vice Presidents Isabel Pentland and Jonathan Parker moderated.

On Monday, March 25, 2024, the Club joined law firm Paul Hastings over Zoom for an introduction to real estate law, presented by partners from the firm’s New York and Century City offices.

On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, the Club hosted a lunch event with the law firm Arnold & Porter which provided an inside look at what it’s like to be a real estate attorney, sharing practice insights and highlights.

Penn Student Women in Real Estate (PSWiRE) collaborated with the MBA Real Estate Club on a social hour.

Highlights from the Weitzman School of Design Real Estate Club

In Fall 2023, the Weitzman School of Design Real Estate Club focused on leadership reorganization. The Club worked with alumni and its membership base to organize happy hours and other industry networking opportunities.
