Andy Jonas is co-head of the Real Estate Department, which is responsible for the firm's global real estate, lodging and gaming business. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1997 as a vice president and was named managing director in 1999 and partner in 2006.
Prior to joining the firm, Andy was in the Real Estate Department at Merrill Lynch from 1991 to 1997. Before that, he worked for Ayala Land in Manila, Philippines, as a summer associate in 1990. Earlier in his career, he worked for Olympia & York from 1988 to 1989 and for Kidder Peabody as an analyst from 1986 to 1988.
Andy is a member of the Advisory Board for the Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center. He is also a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and the Urban Land Institute.
Andy earned a BA from the University of Michigan in 1986 and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1991.
