Andrew Mathias

Andrew Mathias serves as President of SL Green Realty Corp., New York City’s largest commercial office landlord and one of the nation’s leading real estate investment trusts. He also serves on the New York-based company’s Board of Directors. He has been with the Company since 1999, when he joined as a Vice President.
Among other notable recognitions, Mr. Mathias has been named to the New York Commercial Observer “Power 100” several times, sharing the #1 ranking with SL Green CEO Marc Holliday in 2012 and was featured in the Crain’s New York Business “40 Under 40” in 2007. He has been honored by major institutions such as Pace University and Memorial Sloan Kettering, and has been spotlighted in many financial and real estate industry outlets. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Regional Plan Association, which works to improve the prosperity, infrastructure, sustainability and quality of life of the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut metropolitan region.
Prior to joining SL Green, Mr. Mathias worked at Capital Trust and Victor Capital Group. At both firms, he was involved in a wide variety of real estate principal investments and advisory transactions, both on behalf of clients and for the firm’s own account. Prior to that, he worked on the High Yield/Restructuring Desk at Bear Stearns and Co.
Mr. Mathias received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
