2017-2018: The Year in Review
The University of Pennsylvania 2017-2018 Academic Year saw the arrival of a new group of students interested in studying real estate.
Sam Zell visited campus for the Zell Lecture.
This year's Ballard Executive Speaker Program brought sixteen industry leaders to campus.
Research Sponsors dined at Le Bernardin in New York City with world-renowned architect Robert A.M. Stern.
Research Sponsors enjoyed dinner at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.
Cohort Breakout Sessions continued at this year's Fall Members' Meeting.
Our Fall Members' Meeting was another great success.
Our Career Mentor Program brought together current and future industry leaders.
Our Career Fair in January gathered 77 companies on campus, 27 of which were participating for the first time.
The Eric and Beth Schlager Lecture on Entrepreneurship Series brought Spencer B. Haber to campus.
We celebrated the twentieth anniversary of Sam Zell's transformative founding endowment of the Center at this year's Spring Members' Meeting.
We had changes in our Executive Committee leadership.
The Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center recognized student achievements during our Spring Members’ Meeting.
We funded events for student-run real estate clubs.
We have continued to support the student club initiative PSWiRE (Penn Students Women in Real Estate), which aims to support women in the industry.
Asuka Nakahara and Maisy Wong received teaching awards from the University of Pennsylvania.
Asuka Nakahara hosted his annual end of the semester barbecue on April 28, 2018.
At May's graduation ceremony, we said farewell to the Class of 2018.
Research Sponsors and other European real estate professionals gathered at the Royal Automobile Club in London for our fifth annual Grayken Program in International Real Estate.
